Lonely Oak Late Show (Supreme Welsh B) & Lonely Oak Larrikin @ Melbourne Summer Royal 2008
Toowoomba Royal
Just got back from judging the Welsh and the Riding Ponies at Toowoomba Royal. What a dream job for a breeder of both!
My Champion Welsh A was a dreamy little filly, Bordershow Dandelion. I really could have packed her up and taken her home. Pity I dont breed A’s! My Champion B was a pretty, big moving mare, Woranora Serena. C & D were light on the ground, and my Supreme went to the Welsh A – Dandelion. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality at the top of the line in both sections.... view the rest of this entry on the Lonely Oak Blog page.
End of the show season... well at least for us.
Well thats it for another show season for us. I certainly didn’t stress myself out by going to too many shows this season. In fact, I’m a bit ashamed of the lack of showing I did.
Thanks to Daniel Harvey for showing our colt, Keyi Havana this season for us in NSW. Daniel as usual did a fantastic job. Also thanks to Daniel for sending us his beautiful hack (well he did try to tell me she was a galloway!) Atheena Rose... view the rest of this entry on the Lonely Oak Blog page.
Situated at Winchelsea Victoria, Lonely Oak Stud is an easy 90 minute drive from Melbourne on the Princes Hwy. Directions can be found here.
Lonely Oak is owned and run by myself, Fiona and my husband - Allan. Our farm serves dual purposes. First it is home to Lonely Oak Pony Stud and secondly it is also home to Ondit Lodge Alpaca Stud. You can find more information on Ondit Lodge Alpacas here.
We concentrate on breeding quality Welsh B and Riding Ponies. Our main aim for both the Welsh ponies and the Riding Ponies is go onto a saddle career. We have bred many ponies currently competing in the show ring, dressage and pony club. Occasionally we have Stanton Park stock here, enquiries welcome.
Visitors are more than welcome, but please phone first. We usually have stock for sale - young stock, seniors and saddle ponies. If you can not find what you are looking for on this site, then please feel free to enquire - Allan always loves a chat!
Lonely Oak. Welsh Pony, Riding Pony and Part-Welsh.
Up and coming stallion Keyi Havana should have his first foals on the ground in the 2010 - 2011 breeding season. Alan and Fiona have great prospects for this supurb moving young stallion.
